Obama Lied to get Obamacare Passed

Barack Obama repeatedly lied to the American people to get Obamacare passed, and Republican elected officials are hammering the president on this question.

At least four Sunday talk shows aired part or all of the famous Obama statement from 2009: “We will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away.”

In the weekly Republican radio address answering the President that was delivered by Sen. Dan Coats (R-IN) on Saturday, he said, “The administration knew this would happen. This week, the public learned that for at least the past three years, the Obama administration has known that millions of Americans will not be able to keep their health care plans,” yet Obama continued to mislead the population.

On Sunday’s Meet the Press, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was interviewed on the one-year anniversary of the 2012 election. Romney accused Obama of deliberately lying.

“…[W]hen he told the American people that you could keep your health insurance if you wanted to keep that plan, period, he said that time and again, he wasn’t telling the truth.

“I think that fundamental dishonesty has really — has really put in peril the whole foundation of his second term….

“Obamacare barely made it through Washington, as you know. And there is no question in my mind but had the President been truthful and told the American people that millions would lose their insurance and millions more would see their premiums skyrocket, had he told them that at the time it was going through Washington, there would have been such a huge cry against it, it would not have passed.”

The administration trotted out Nazi doctor Ezekiel Emanuel, one of the architects of the Obamacare “great kill” program, to explain that Obama’s not responsible for the loss of insurance, that is simply insurance companies practicing good business by “deciding” on dumping insured people “for business reasons.” That is not the fault of the law or the President, that’s just “what insurance companies regularly do,” he said.

Interviewer Chris Wallace immediately exposed Emanuel’s lie: “But, Doctor, the Obamacare law demands that the insurance companies change their plans.”

A total of 15 million people with private individual insurance could lose their current insurance plan if they had not chosen — because they can’t afford the premium or for other reason — an “adequate” insurance plan. And tens of thousands of constituents are complaining about this deadly practice to their Congressional representatives.
