British Deploy Ukraine Nazis to Taunt Russia, as Elections Are Held in the East

Sunday’s referenda on expanded regional autonomy in the eastern Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk apparently proceeded without major bloodshed, as of latest reports. Ukrainian authorities did deploy dozens of APCs and some hundreds of troops to try to disrupt the voting, and the polls were closed early in the city of Krasnoarmeysk amid reports that National Guard units were approaching. There are press accounts that one person was killed there, but, no other major confrontations or casualties have been reported. Even hostile western media such as CNN have to admit that there was a large turnout, and a big majority seemed to be voting for autonomy.

None of which has gotten in the way of Nuland’s Nazis in Kiev from threatening and taunting the Russians. Illegitimate president Turchynov threatened voters on the eve of the elections: “It is a step into the abyss for these regions. It is euphoria that may lead to very difficult consequences, and many people already feel them.” And National Security and Defense Council Secretary Andriy Paruby–a co-founder of Svoboda, and the founder of Ukrainian Patriot, a component of Right Sector– directly provoked Russia: “If Russia recognizes the referendum and initiates actions, I reiterate: if there is an act of aggression, Ukraine will defend its territory and its state,” he said. He also noted that Kiev authorities understand that a Russian attack may happen any day. “Ukrainian forces are prepared to respond to a probable attack or act of aggression by Russia,” he summed up. Paruby also posted on his Facebook page a call to form a worldwide “anti-Putin coalition,” saying that Crimea’s accession to Russia was just like the Anschluss — the Nazi annexation of Austria — and if there had been an “anti-Hitler coalition” then, World War II would have been avoided.
